Sandpoint and Ponderay

     What makes Sandpoint unique...the water. Sandpoint sits on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. A lake so big and deep that our US Navy trained our submarine pilots to maneuver submarines in the deeps of this beautiful lake. Enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing and the Long Bridge swim right here in Sandpoint. This city is known for it's "artsy" flavor. Outdoor concerts, street bizarre, theater and artsy shops keep us entertain all year through. In the winter, enjoy the slopes on Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort. Not only is it a top class ski resort, the views of Lake Pend Oreille are breath taking from this mountain top. For those that like the land or the air, Sandpoint boost a golf coarse and it's very own airport.
     Ponderay is the area's shopping mecca, with JC Penny, Sears, Staples, WalMart, North 40, Pet Co. and Home Depot.
